New video showing Kenya's Justice Minister speaks on the recent violence and talks of genocide. Original post and video are below:
So far we are hearing of 300 dead, thousands displaced and things will probably get worse before getting better in Kenya. The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), attempted to gather to protest in the the video below - only to be reminded by the Pro-Government police what they think of Freedom of Assembly. Let's see what happens on January 8th, when the ODM attempts to gather again...
Let's not forget that this goes beyond political lines as economic and Tribal tensions have been flaring up as well. And what will the West do? Australia might do something, since 600 of its citizens are now trapped in what is basically a War Zone. Britain? Well so far they have cancelled all planned holidays and warned it's citizens from traveling to Kenya. The USA? If someone points out where Kenya is on the map for George W. Bush and explains to him that they have Oil, then maybe we will help.
But you know how these things go in Africa, the rest of the world will wait until things get much, much worse before they decide to really help. What was the body count in Rwanda before the UN took notice? What is the latest from Darfur? The flow of apartheid diamonds from South Africa never faltered even though the world "condemned" their racial policies. And all the while the Christian Missionary groups in Africa refuse to give out condoms in a land riddled by AIDS. Want to see human nature at its worst - look how we handle Africa.

300 dead thats unbelievable. I seem to be seeing alot more of this stuff on the news. A lot of countries fighting over politics. Look at that Obama incident. Hopefully never happens in North America.
