I was going to take a break from the serious news for the weekend until I saw this video of the latest Kenyan violence. Yesterday saw even more people killed in the clashes with police and now with Tribal tensions making things worse, I wonder how high the body count has to be before we see improvement.
From all the different viewpoints that are making it out of Kenya - including some very informative comments made to a previous post, I can't choose a side. And it seems even native Kenyans are having a hard time deciding who the good guy is, if there is one. Considering how muddy the waters have become, where are the UN Peacekeepers? The UN is sending aid and is also monitoring the refugee situation but apparently a few hundred dead is not enough to send in the Blue Helmets. It would be nice if the UN Peacekeeping force were proactive in their efforts instead of arriving after the slaughter has begun.
