Road Map to Peace: Don't Ask Bush For Directions

You are not fooling me George Bush, this is a sad example of trying to tidy up your horrible legacy. With about a year left as President you now try to play peacemaker in the Middle East? Sorry Georgie, you're like the teenager that tries to clean up after the keg party even though the parents have already pulled up in the driveway - you're not getting away with anything.

You had two terms to work on this "Road map to Peace" but I guess that is hard to do when you are bombing the hell out of neighboring Iraq and sabre-rattling with Iran. Even the parties involved can't take you seriously and can see that you have no real plans for peace - you are only trying to save face.

The Israeli/Palestinian conflict has been going on for decades as everyone knows and here is George W struttin' in like John Wayne and says he's going to be "pain" if he has to be to get the ball rolling. I'm sure world leaders can agree that George Bush is already a pain, so what is he going to do differently this time? Talks have barely started, and already Hamas knows that Bush is full of empty promises. Also, considering that Hamas is listed as a Terrorist Organization, will Bush even talk to them? It would be very Bush-like if he tried to make peace without talking to all the parties involved.

Listen Bush, I know all about your supposed "win-win" situation here: If the process goes well and a peace accord is in the works by the end of your term then you will take all the credit for Peace In The Middle East. However if no progress is made by the time you leave office, well then you can just wash your hands of the situation and pass off the mess the next chump, I mean, President.
