No I haven't had my nervous breakdown yet and I'm not wearing the tin-foil hat but I could see your concern over that title. But hey, this kind of stuff is closer than you think with every new generation of military drone or robot. Haven't we learned anything from I, Robot and the Terminator movies?
All kidding aside, this article makes some good points. Money makes the world go around and black market weapons are more in demand than ever on this unstable planet. I don't think it will be that long before the more primitive drones or even new designs cobbled together from captured wreckage start showing up in the wrong hands on the world's battlefields. Right now most of these have more in common with Radio Shack than RoboCop but as the article states, military leaders are urging for more automation in their mechanized warriors. You think suicide bombers and IED's are bad, wait until the bad guys send in the battle droids!
