You know all those heinous "side-effects" those television ads for prescription drugs rattle off? Well get ready for more of them America because guess what? THESE DRUGS ARE NOW IN YOUR DRINKING WATER! Sure they're only trace amounts, and so some "experts" are saying there is no risk. Don't they realize that many of these drugs, like Prozac act cumulatively - you build it up in your body - that's why it takes so long to get off some of these drugs. Also, what happens if you are already taking some of these drugs? Or even more dangerously, what if you are taking medications that interact with the drugs in your tap water? I wonder just how many of our current issues with medications and health are actually caused by the water we drink...
So you going to switch to bottled water? Make sure you know where it comes from. Aquafina and Dasani are only filtered tap water, and if your municipal filtering plant cannot remove the drugs (if they even test for them, many don't), I don't think Coke or Pepsi can either.
Geesh, is anything going our way anymore? Our economy is in the shithouse, our dollar will soon be the featured currency in a game of Monopoly, they feed our schoolkids contaminated beef and those of us not pretentious enough to buy expensive spring water can get horribly sick from reusing our bottles. And now there are drugs in our tap water - huh, wasn't that a CIA plot back in the 1960 to combat Communism?
We wonder why young girls seem to be maturing faster - most of us think it's from the hormones in the beef, but maybe it's the dissolved estrogen in our water!
