Never Too Young To Smoke Crack

| , , , , ,

Advice from your pal AngryJed: Don't try to move into a new place after hip surgery....

OK so what's pissing me off this morning besides moving boxes? Giving people excuses for deplorable actions. Read this little article below on how a 30-year old taught an 11-year old how to smoke crack. Sure that's pretty bad, but then you read of her sob story: 7 kids in foster homes, a family riddled by addiction and a lawyer pleading for her to stay out of prison. First off, why not prison? She taught a kid to smoke crack! They throw people in jail for much less in parts of our country. Another thing that pisses me off - 7 kids, SEVEN! She has custody of none and I doubt she is done fucking low-lifes for crack.

I hate the drug laws here in the US - but teaching kids to get hooked on crack cocaine - a drug that can kill, is much different in my mind than starting to smoke weed as a teenager.

I quite agree Jed. I know little about the US Laws concerned. I am after all a Brit but surely anyone who teaches a child or anyone else how to ruin their lives with a narchotic like crack-cocaine needs to learn a valuble lesson. That is what the law is all about!
Whether jail is the correct place for such a person or a psychiatric hospital or rehabilitation centre.

Regardless this sort of behaviour is not good and needs punishing in some way. We as society cannot make much of an impression on drug addicts as they have already isolated themselves from the grip of society with their lifestyles. But if this goes on then the young child will be another victim of the vicious circle.

I am happy to discuss these subjects and on my own blog makingremarks.blogspot.com I do discuss some like it personally, give me a look some time.

Cheers Jed

Best wishes
