So the Myanmar Junta is taking all the food in the wake of the cyclone disaster...is anyone surprised? And what is going to happen next? Now that the Burmese people will suffer even more than they have already. The secretive generals in charge are taking all the supplies flown in from the UN and from the few countries allowed in - and now the food is going to stop.
I recall the sham of Iraq's Oil for Food program and how that program was being abused by the then Iraqi government. Wasn't that one of the reasons for invading? So where is the UN security force or the Coalition of the Willing ready to go into Myanmar to topple the Junta?
In an age where "rogue states" are in the news all the time from occupied Iraq to sanctioned Iran and North Korea, Myanmar is ignored because they are so reclusive. Apparently content with only ruling the Burmese with an iron fist, so they don't make our news until something like a major natural disaster strikes.
So it looks like the Burmese are still on their own, that is until they find some oil or if the Junta starts going on the warpath - that's the only time we "Democracy Lovers" seem to do anything.
